Ask where the machine worked
A Hyster that spent its life on a contractor yard shows it in the front axle, tires and mast rollers. Provenance affects condition more than age does, and it is the first question we ask.
Heavy units take structural abuse
On anything above 15,000 lb we inspect for frame cracking and mast distortion. Steel and heavy material handling stresses a machine in ways warehouse work never does.
